Portlet contents state

Is it possible to preserve portlet contents state after maximizing portlet?
For example, on your showcase http://www.smartclient.com/smartgwt/showcase/#window_contents_portal_layout_new
, if you choose tab 'Talk' on wikipedia portlet, and drag and drop that portlet, it will reset it contents to wikipedia home page again.
Why portlet contents have to reset/recreate after portlet maximize/minimize/restore/reposition ... ?
