I am evaluating SmartGWT EE for a large client that is preparing to move their entire application suite from fat-clients to HTML5. They need an advanced web development platform that is easy for their existing development staff to learn in a short period of time.
SmartGWT EE appears to meet their needs very well. I am very impressed by the feature list and truly want to recommend it as an option.
However, I cannot recommend a product that suggest the best practice for creating a new project is "start with a sample project that is close to what you want and remove everything you do not need".
It cannot be that difficult to build a project creation wizard to handle the SmartGWT specific configuration.
