Using Safari on an iPad, when I want to change the value in a SelectItem I have to tap it twice. The first tap highlights the new value but does not close the list of choices. Tapping it a second time does. Is this by design?
You can see this in the Showcase by going to Forms -> Various Controls. The second and third controls in the "Select / Combo Controls" section behave this way. I've noticed that they do not require a double-tap when first selecting a value (i.e. when the field is empty) but after that they do.
Possibly related: the date control in the same showcase requires a double-tap when picking a month, but not when picking a day or year.
