I am using SmartClient Power version 8.3.
The first time the page loads it takes forever - about 40 seconds!
Now, I did address the three areas of improvements as suggested:
1. Caching: this works fine, but 40 seconds is way to slow for a first time load
2. I added the compression in the web.xml. I do see some compression in the logs but I'm sure how this can be tested for sure.
3. I tried to pre-load while the login.jsp is displaying. But the the problem is that it is starting to reload again when I move to the SmartClient page after login.
Surely there must be very good posts and articles about this issue. Please direct me. This is urgent - I'm about to go live and this issue is a showstopper.
