Validation in dataSource

Hi

I am using SmartClient_v91p_2014-07-18_Evaluation for evaluation purpose.

I can define validation rule for each field in datasource.
Is there any way to include the validation logoc for the whole record after all fields are validated?

My second question is how to add "record saved" message after users save the record. My current problem is that I do not know whether or not the validation is passed and the record is saved after execute "saveAllEdits()"
