Validation Issue For Text Box

Hi,
I am using Smart Gwt-3.x ,
For the "TextItem",
I have applied validations (with Regular Expressions) with smart gwt frame work and I am restricting the character double quote(").
The validation is happening correctly and I am happy about that, but when I do 'copy' double quote(") from "Micro Soft word" and 'pasted' in to "TextItem" it is not validating and it is stored to DB.
Is there any reason for this issue.
Please give me a solution for this issue.
