When exporting from listgrid, what string to use to get tab as separator?

Maybe silly question but i can't get it to work. Tried "\t", it came out like that, not as a tab. Tried some other stuff i found on the interwebs, but in vain.

the method i'm using is DSRequest.setExportDelimiter.
