Feature request: method to retrieve filtereditor criterions without listgrid criteria

It would be very useful to retrieve the filtereditor criterions of a listgrid seperated from the criteria of the listgrid.
There is a method _getMappedCriteriaValues which does exactly this, but it is obfuscated. It would be helpful for me to make a public accessor to this method.
