listGrid header vertical-text and max number of columns

I'm newbie of smartclient. I'm trying to use smartclient v9.0p_2013-08-22 because I would understand if it meets our project's requirements. So I would like to have more information about the ListGrid component. We have to use a datagrid component with variable numbers of columns(max 1000 columns) , with vertical-text in the header and able to insert a new row in any point of table. I have attached two examples of how we would like to be our datagrids. So how many columns is the smartclient listGrid able to manage? is it possible to have vertical-text in the header? If the answers are no, is it possible to customize the listGrid component in a easy manner?
