creating a local ListGrid (no datasource) with json?

I would like to create a local ListGrid with no DataSource where I will define my ListGridFields and the ListGrid itself. And then add the data to the ListGrid myself.

There are numerous properties for a ListGrid and ListGridField configurations. Is there a way to configure a SmartGWT object with a set of Properties or JSON?
