First tap on ListGrid on iOS devices has no effect

I have an application that displays a ListGrid at startup. When run on an iPhone using Safari in iOS 8.3, the first tap on the grid does nothing. The second tap generates a response, but the response seems to be kind of slow. Subsequent taps generate responses at normal speeds.

This same problem happens in the showcase:

This problem does not seem to occur on Android touch devices.
